Hello,
I wish you all a nice day.
I have a problem on one of my Proliant DL 380 G8 V2 LFF: One of the caddies (including HDD) stucks about 4 cm from the end. It's on the bottom of the second raw. It's possible to move only a few millimeters back and forth.
Within the Server manual of the DL 380 G8 V2 I can't find a description if is possible to remove the complete bay of all 12 slots, so that I can work from behind.
Do anybody knows what can I do to remove the HDD?
Thanks in advance!

SolutionThe Hard Drive cage can be removed from the server. Then the Backplane board can be removed to push the drive out of the Bay from rear side of the cage.
We request to be very cautious while performing this action or you can seek an expert to get this done.
Please refer to the below link for removal & replacement procedure
Thank you

Thanks for the answer.
Sorry for the late reply. I was sick.
Next time in the office I will try remove the cage and the backplane, so I can access from behind.
Have a nice day!

Re: Proliant DL 380 G8 V2 LFF - SATA Hot Swap HDD Caddy stucks
Hello all,
the problem has been fixed now. Within the caddy was an adapter for 2,5" HDD -> 3,5" caddy. A screw head of the HDD adapter is stucking exactly in a hole of the cage.
Thanks for your help!
