Proliant DL140 Diag Lights question

Ok, I give. I can't find any information on what the Diagnostic lights on the main board mean. The machine won't POST and it seems to hang with the C12, CR13, CR15 lights lit and the rest off.

Any ideas?

Thanks much!

Re: Proliant DL140 Diag Lights question

Hi,

This will help you with led patterns

1 AC Power CR10 On = Activity
Off = No activity

2 Multi bit error CR15 On = Activity
Off = No activity

3 Single bit error CR17 On = Activity
Off = No activity

Re: Proliant DL140 Diag Lights question

Thanks for the reply, I saw that in the manual, however, what does the CR12 and CR13 lights mean then?

Or does anyone know what that combination of lights means?

thanks again!

Re: Proliant DL140 Diag Lights question

Re: Proliant DL140 Diag Lights question

CR12, CR13, CR15 are solid, green, all others are off. I tried resetting the bios as you suggested (including the 5min wait period) as well as removed the Scsi backplane. Currently there are two drives and 1 cdrom. I tried without Drive1 as well as no drives at all.

This is a brand new machine and the first time that it has been booted.

I apologize if I came off as angry or rude, as that was not my intention.

I simply wanted to work through the basics before I call support.

Thanks again for your help
