Proliant DL140 G2 - Bios Update
Hello,
i bought this server Proliant DL140 G2 with 5GB ram (4 ram slots is free) from ebay and I bought for raise 16GB ram 4x4GB for upgrade with hope compatibility. But probably not comaptible i read on PDF docs about max 2GB module per slot. Is here chance for any run with this ram? When i try update bios i dont download last version because i haevnt licence from bought this server from ebay :(

Wow, such an old box.
Latest BIOS was
1.17 (03/31/2006)(28 Jun 2006)
You linked the quickspec, this is what was supported (8 DIMM slots, supporting up 16GB DDR2-400MHz memory - 8 x 2 GB).
Well, don't care about supported or not for this box, but I guess it will probably not work.

Yup its my lite grand father :) I know about this site but if i go to download it and log on system i see this message " BIOS - professional approach is required for warranty or contract of support covering HP ProLiant servers " and this is this problem :-( i bought it on ebay and i haevnt this contract :-/ is here chance send it on my emaily please? I read on some community about possibly run this ram after i update this bios.
