Proliant DL320 - Cycle Life
Hi, we have 16 Proliant DL320 since 2000, all 16 are working 100% everyday, just want to know the Lifetime for this servers, before change for a new ones.

A completely unscientific uneducated guess, for the lack of a better response from an expert:
The chain's strength is determined by the weakest link, so as long as your have spare parts (fans, motherboards, PSUs, etc.), you are in good shape for them to work forever. Some of the systems we built back in 96 are still in operation.
One issue I'd look at though is performance per watt of energy consumption: you may be able to replace all 16 of these with virtual machines running on two 2-3 G6s, and this set up *may* be faster than your existing server farm, and more reliable. It's easier to migrate and restore VMs than physical servers. It will surely take less real estate and consume a lot less energy. Just a thought!
