Proliant DL320 G1 Fans

Hi,

Im running centOS on my Proliant DL320 G1 server but its almost too loud to stand. How do i make the fans run at a speed thats not full speed?

hello
all fan in server of hp have smart and no setup for speed.
you check the silicon for heat sink cpu .

there must be a ay to slo the fans down without having to butcher them.

You need to install the system management drivers. Without this the fans run in failsafe mode at full speed.

Hi,

Just an idea. I'm not sure if it will work. You can try installing the PSP released for Redhat Enterprise Linux.

Also update your System ROM and check.
