Proliant DL320 USB/Firewire PCI card issues

I have DL320 with the latest BIOS updates and running Server 2003 Ent SP1 with all security patches. My machine runs great, starts up and shutsdown fine as it is. The problem i have is when I install any PCI firewire or USB card, i can no longer shut the machine down or restart from windows. It starts to shutdown then just hangs. If i take the card out it works fine. Also while the card is in, the server works great and the card functions, the external drives i connect work great. The only issue is that i cant shutdown or reboot. Any help would be greatly appreciated. jt
