Proliant DL320e - Drive is failing

Hi all,

I started to work in a new company two days ago and in one of the server rooms I saw that health led blinking in red on one of the proliant servers DL320e. After the system restart POST message appeared with info that drives in bay 3 & 4 are failing. These are non-hot-plug drives. I didnt had time to figure out if these drive are in raid or not.

Does this mean that I should replace them as soon as posibble?

There are no leds on their carriers.

Yes, you should replace the drives, but try to back up the data if possible now.  Wait for downtime if you can and use the Array Configuration Utility to see if any raids are present. That should tell you what you need to know.

Good Luck,
