Proliant DL360 3.06Ghz and ESXi server - PCI-X eSATA adapters
Hi,
I have this sytem up and running ESXi server and it's working great. I have two 300GB drives in the server but would like to add more storage.
Has anyone tried installing a 3rd party PCI-X eSata adapter, connect eSata drives and be able to install the host adapter in ESXi server and use the connected drives for use as I can with the drives attached to the SCSI adapter?
Ones I have found on newegg are
Addonics ADS3GX4R5-E PCI-X SATAI / SATA II Controller Card RAID 0/1/0+1/5 JBOD
NORCO-4618 PCI-X / PCI eSATA / SATA II / SATA I Controller Card RAID 0/1/5/10/JBOD
SYBA SD-PCXSA2-2E2R PCI-X SATA II RAID Controller Card
Thanks for any feedback/advice!
