Proliant DL360 (G1) Win 2k Server hangs on install

I'm trying to load Windows 2000 server onto my DL360, but it hangs when it gets to "Setup is starting Windows 2000." This appears to be a common problem: http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q234/7/72.asp and http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1066370&admit=-682735245+1171413540371+28353475
Unfortunately, I don't have G2, so I can't use the SmartStart CD, as suggested in the latter link. Does anyone have any ideas? What drivers do I need? I got Fedora Core 6 to load by loading the Compaq Smart Array driver (cpqarray). However, I can't find an equivalent driver to download for Win 2k. Furthermore, Win 2k says that it is loading a driver for Compaq Smart Array. Does this mean I'm going to have to create floppy disks, like the Windows help article says?? Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Hi Thomas,

Use Smartstart 5.50 (The last G1 version).
The ISO image can be downloaded from here.

Thanks for the suggestion. I already figured out the problem with the array driver by pressing F6 during the install and loading the driver (after I figured out which driver file to use). I also tried making the boot disk, and that works very well too. However, now setup hangs on the initial part of the windows installation. I didn't record the details on the screen, but I will make a new post if I don't get it figured out.

Thanks,

Tom
