Hi,
How can I reduce fan noise on a DL 360 G3.
I'm running Fedora 11.

Hello Michael,
The speed of the fan depends on two factors the heat produced or performance of other fans. You need to check that all fans are working or the other thing, which usually is the common coz for fan speed related issues is cooling. Proliant servers have front to back cooling make sure that your air conditioning vent is placed at the front side of your rack this is a common deisgn mistake most admins do.
But if you have been facing this problem right from day one then you could try downloading the latest firmware CD and installing the latest firmware.
