Proliant DL360 G4 6i controller

It doesn't show up during startup so I can't configure the drives. Normally, I would have an option to "press F8 to configure the array" but don't get that. I see a memory check, processor identification, power supply confirmation but no SCSI controller.

I see lights on the drives so they are getting power. Is the onboard SCSI controller bad?

Re: Proliant DL360 G4 6i controller

hmm brad,

i have seen dead pci cards cause this
first reseat all cables then proceed

this scisi controller is on board

you should see it in bios on boot try f9 bios do you see it in bios boot options ,

if not is sounds suspect

you can disconnect all drvives and pci card and see is it seen now if so add card back one at a time then drives in that order

if that does not help clear nvram its the maintenance switch 6 it is on the cover anyway the one you remove but note

IMPORTANT: If replacing the system board or clearing NVRAM,
you ust re-enter the server serial number through RBSU.(bios on post)

Resetting the NVRAM fixed this problem. DIP switch 6 needed to be turned ON to reset.

Thanks.
