Proliant DL360 G4 will not boot up
The mashine hangs after this is shown in the console
"Advanced Memory Protection Mode: Advanced ECC Support
Redundant ROM Detected - This system contains a valid backup system ROM."
I can't do anything..
The iLO works and the "POST diagnostic results for the host server" says
FE04 EISA Initialization
FE08 PCI Initialization
FE0C Processor Initialization
FE10 Video Initialization
FE14 Cache Initialization
FE18 USB Initialization
FE1C Memory Test
FE20 Memory Initialization
FE24 USB Startup
What can I do? Is it possible to reset everything somehow? The Mashine booted a few times before this happend.
Thankful for all help I can get
Regards
Daniel

Re: Proliant DL360 G4 will not boot up
I would first try to update the system to current firmware (ROM and iLO). If this is not possible try to disconnect all power cables to reset the system and then try to update again. Please also check if you have any USB device connected to the system and disconnect them for troubleshooting.
hope this helps
kind regards
Josef

Re: Proliant DL360 G4 will not boot up
I would like to update the ROM, but I don't know how? I don't get a chance to interact with the machine.
I read in some other thread that you could reset the rom by turning switch 6 onthe mainbord, but I hanvn't located it yet. Does anyone knows of this would work?

Re: Proliant DL360 G4 will not boot up
I have solved it now, I didn't have any USB devices connected and there was nothing wrong with the power supply.
I reseted the rom by changing switch 6 on the mainboard. That did the trick. Probably there was some change that had been done to the ROM that made it out of buisness....
Anyway it all works fine now.
Thanx anyway Josef
