Proliant DL360 G4p Server and it's Smart Array Controller

I just installed a new battery for this controller and I still get a diag report that the batter is not fully charged and information that the array accelerator status is temporarily disabled.  The firmware of the smart array  6i controller is at version 2.58.  

Does this mean that the controler is bad?  Any information yo can provide will help.

After replacing the battery, the system tries charging it for about 20-24 hours and then it will either say it's good, or say the battery is failed.

Until then, certain functions aren't available like expansion or level migration if you don't have a charged battery.
