Proliant DL360 G5 PCI Device issue

I have a Proliant DL360 G5 that has an unknown "PCI Device" at "PCI bus 1, device 4, function 6". I have tried to download and install all known drivers from HP but can not hit upon the right one. How can I tell what this device is so I may install the proper driver? The other "Unknown device" is on location "on PCI standard ISA bridge".

hi

I will guess it's W2003 or 2008?

let's work with W2003
have you tried Proliant support Pack?

Re: Proliant DL360 G5 PCI Device issue

The server is running Windows 2003 Server with the latest service pack. I have downloaded the support pack but when I run the Smart Update Manager it fails to find the local host. On the first screen Local Host () with the correct server name is displayed. Step 2 is executed and an error "discovery failed" is displayed. Any thoughts as to why it can't discover itself?
Thanks

Re: Proliant DL360 G5 PCI Device issue

Some success. The unknown device on PCI standard ISA bridge is now gone after I executed the cmd file. However, the PCI bus 1 device 4 function 6 unknown device remains. I have "removed" this device but the OS does find it again on a hardware search.

Re: Proliant DL360 G5 PCI Device issue

mm weird that

you have any additional device in there PCI cards?

you can try safely remove using this
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/311272

using remove option
remove: Remove devices that match the specific hardware or instance ID

also you can try
updating Firmware using the CD and after that try .cmd file again
