Proliant DL360 G5. Question about memory.

Hello! Our company bought new DL360 G5 with 4g (4x1G) RAM. On the server was installed Windows 2003 Server OS. If to right-click on
My Computer->Properties, then can see that 3,25 GB of RAM on the server. But on reboot, BIOS show 4 GB of RAM. Why it is? HP Insight Diagnostics Online Edition for Windows also show 4GB.

Re: Proliant DL360 G5. Question about memory.

You have to enter /PAE switch into windows boot.ini file.

Than reboot the server, windows musr detect 4 GB RAM.

But before reboot check the free space of C and be sure it has avail free space for memory page file.
