Proliant DL360 Power Supply Cooling Fan Problem
We have a proliant DL360 rack server. It seems that a single cooling fan of (3)three on the power supply is failing which causes an immediate shutdown. Are there any work arounds until the new power supply comes in?

No. The machine requires every fan installed to be running in order for it to stay up.
The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..

Re: Proliant DL360 Power Supply Cooling Fan Problem
Terry's correct. The system views all of the power supply fans as necessary to keep the power supply properly cooled to avoid failure. (I think if you look at the fans through the agents, you'll even notice that they're treated as a single fan). So if one goes down, the system treats that as if all the fans had faulted. This is probably a Good Thing, because although you're already getting a new power supply, you might lose important data during normal operation when the supply fails.
