Proliant DL360 g2 Qlogic qla2200 slow I/O

In HP/Compaq Proliant DL360 G2 servers we have QLogic HBAs (qla2200) connected to Brocade Silkworm switches and then to XIOtech Magnitudes. We are seeing some very slow performance (ie, ESRI ArcView applications will actually timeout trying to write data). After extensive testing with XIOtech; 1) the Magnitudes look very clean and have no issues, 2) the Brocade switches look very clean and have no issues, 3) the QLogic HBAs (via SANblade) look very clean and have no issues. All of the SAN infrastructure appears to be loafing, yet we are experiencing sluggish I/O issues. We are suspicious that there may be some issue on the HP/Compaq side and/or some compatibility issues with the HBAs. Suggestions?

Just a couple of questions:

O/S version?
Arbitrated loop or switched fabric?
Cluster?

We need more info :)
