Proliant DL360p G8 BIOS NIC settings

Hi All-

How can I change the BIOS NIC settings for a HP Proliant DL 360p Gen8? Specifically I want to change the NIC speed from 10GB to 1GB because my network switch can't handle 10GB

Is it possible?

Hello,

wasn't it set automatically after you connected NIC to switch? We had similar servers on 1Gb lan without any problem.

No it seems not. I don't get any NIC LED activity when connected to the switch

Hmm, what is your port setting on switches? Could you try setup "auto" mode for automatic negotation ?

Switch ports are set to auto speed and auto duplex

hmm, I do not think it is server related.

HP ROM-Based Setup Utility, but I really did not find possibility to change nic speed there.

Have you tried to contact HP support?

Cntrl S during post will allow you to access the Broadcom nics. You can change the speed setting there.
