Proliant DL380 G1 - Blue Screen Trap (Bug Check, STOP: 0x0000000A
Can anyone help me figure out what the following error may relate to? My server restarted on it's own, and I found this error through Compaq Insight Manager:
Blue Screen Trap (Bug Check, STOP: 0x0000000A (0x00017CF7, 0x000000FF, 0x00000000, 0x804640F6))
The event log did not have any information related to the problem, other than this statement:
Event Type: Error
Event ID: 6008
Date: 4/2/2008
Time: 8:16:04 AM
Description:
The previous system shutdown at 8:04:56 AM on 4/2/2008 was unexpected.
The server is a Compaq Proliant G1, with Windows Server 2000 SP 4 installed. I have searched, but have not found information on this type of error yet. Thanks.

Re: Proliant DL380 G1 - Blue Screen Trap (Bug Check, STOP: 0x0000000A
Hi,
according to MS, this is most likely caused by a software(Firmware/Drivers), not a hardware error, check :
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms793589.aspx
If you haven't done this yet, update Fw and drivers to the latest versions :
FW CD 7.50:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=254889&prodNameId=342841&swEnvOID=181&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-43cdbc439b224cd68cd540ebc4
ProLiant support pack 7.60:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=254889&prodNameId=342841&swEnvOID=181&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-91b00ba75cd14fe08c6aa669c0
If it is a driver problem, the best thing is to attach a minidump(if you have one).
Check C:\Windows\Minnidump, or search in C:\windows for *.dmp . The dump will maybe show what caused the bluescreen.
It can be an anti-virus Sw or a faulty memory too, but the first thing always is to take out a problem with HP's Software
In MS Knowledge database are mentioned a lot of things that can cause this...
Regrads,
Pac

Hmmm, it didn't seem to attach, let me try again.
If not, no need to worry about it.
