Proliant DL380 G3 Processor issue
Evening all.
I have a HP Proliant DL380 G3 rack server, of which I know very little about.
I am trying to install a 64bit version of MS Exchange but the server wont let me do it. I have put this down to the DL380 G3 only having a single 32bit processor.
Can anyone advise me as to what my options are? Can I get a 64 bit processor and stick it in?
I only have a 64 bit version of Exchange, if you are wondering!
Thanks very much
Duncan

Re: Proliant DL380 G3 Processor issue
Sorry, but of you check the server QuickSpecs: http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/11473_div/11473_div.HTML, this model uses Intel Xeon processors, the original ones, with 512 KB of L2 cache.
These processors were designed before Intel decided to follow AMD and include x86-64 instructions.
