Proliant DL380 G3 Server - problem with DC Converter Overheating

Have had several DL380 G3 servers (new) in the field, that have experienced a failure because of the DC Converter (as HP Tech described) that are overheating. I've read some of the 'forums' regarding the fan problems. I'm interested in finding out what/where the SW2 setting is located. It was suggested that this be set to the off position, restart the server. Any information/recommendation would be helpful.

Glen:

This shouldn't happen: Either FAN should run 100% (default) or as SW controlled (health driver stuff) in which case if things get warm they speed up...

Mind you the service & Maintenance guide P90 map of the system board doesn't show an SW2.. I'm confused, but append 2 pages anyway..
