Proliant DL380 G3 shutdown because HP Agent receive a trap alert.

The Server is running on Linux RedHat 7.3.
I have installed the compaq's software package.

Every day, the server receive a snmp trap and restart automatically.

This is the message :
From: root
To: root@EDP_TUX
Subject: HP Agent Trap Alert

Trap-ID=6025

An 'ASR Recover Complete' trap signifies that the system has
been shutdown by the ASR feature and has just become operational
again.

Can you help me please ?

Re: Proliant DL380 G3 shutdown because HP Agent receive a trap alert.

I don't have experience with Linux, but generally ASR (Automatic Server Recovery) reboots a system after a set amount of time (default is 10 min) if it is locked up. The message (snmp trap) you are getting is the system telling you that ASR has rebooted the system (due to lockup) and it is back up and running.

You can turn off ASR (F9 BIOS) This will allow you to see the server when it locks up and you can troubleshoot why it's doing it from there.

I prefer to keep it running to minimize the downtime of a system (no manual intervention required when a system BSOD). The only time we turn it off is when we are getting no other errors/dumps to troubleshoot with.

Hope this helps.
