We have a Proliant DL380 G4. I updated the BIOS to the latest version but having hard time installing windows Server 2008 R2 on it. I have set the USB to boot first and also using a USB external Pioneer DVD rom. the system is set as Raid 5 with drive 0 as spare. any Idea as far as why the DVD rom wont Boot?
Thanks
Aaron

ok aaron
try use only 1 usb device ata time
can you install any other os or is it just 2008 r2 that is not seen ?
try hp firmware cd rom 8.3 updatefirmwwqares with that will that boot,
need to know if issue is a particular cd rom disc not, or the drive itself please clarify ,
if it is the drive try it on another machine is it seen ??
wheninstalling r2 2 discs are included are you using the first disc in correct order..
