Hi, I need to configure DL380 G4 server having 6 32 GB disks as Raid1 for disk0 and disk1, and a second Raid1 for disk2 and disk3 with disk4 as hot spare for first raid and disk5 as hot spare for 2nd raid. I do not have the disk5 yet. How can I configure this using hp smart start s/w

You can check the following documents that can help you do that. Disk 5 you can add it later as a spare as soon as you have it available:

Hello mohtashim,
Use the Array Configuration Utility(ACU) to setup the Raid and assign the online spare.
If you are creating the raid now, in ACU create a Array1 which is Raid 1 and add Disk 0 and 1 to the array. Than create a second Array2 also as Raid 1 and add Disk 2 and 3 to the array. Now to assign the online spare, Right click on Array1 and click on Spare Management and now select disk 4, it will assign the disk 4 has online spare for Array1. Once you have added the disk 5 to the unit then Right click on Array2 and click on Spare Management and now select disk 5.
