Systems Management utility reports that the smart array 6i in slot 0 has a failed battery under Accelerator menu. Does this mean the BBWC battery pack needs to be replaced? I read on another thread that it could just be that the firmware needs to be updated to version 2.48 or higher? Can anyone advise of the best first step to take?
Regards

Re: Proliant DL380 G4 w/failed battery
Plaese ask all the questions you need.
You have 4 options
1. Use Partsufer:
http://partsurfer.hp.com/cgi-bin/spi/main
2. Ask - Here
3. Ask Instant support.
http://www12.itrc.hp.com/service/home/hplivelink.do
4. Call HP support.
5. Remove the failed battery. There is a label with the spare no.
I have just chekked partsurfer, and found 2 numbers 2 choose from :S
I would choose option 5 or 3.
cheers
