Proliant DL380 G5, PCIe Sata Card
Hi there,
I was wondering if i could buy a generic PCI-express Sata CARD (simple card with 2 Sata ports, no raid or anything) and stick it in the proliant PCI slot in the riser. WIll it be recognized by windows? Any generic consumer type PCIe Sata card will work or does it have to be server type?
I'm just Looking to add a 8TB HDD Sata in this server,as i'musingit for 4K Movies storage.
Thanks

Hello SHA33,
Thank you for your query.
As per HPE guidlines , we recommend to use HPE parts listed in the server specific quickspecs. You can refer to spare part and Optional part list to check if we have any card which fulfills your requirement.
