Proliant DL380 G6 / ESXi 4.00 / All statusses Unknown

Hi there,

I have a Prolant DL380 G6 with ESX40 running on in. When looking in the configuration from within the Sphere Client / Health statusses, all sensors give a status Unknown.

Where does he gets his info from so that I can perhaps solve this?

I do not know how to verify if this server has been installed with the HP ESX bundle. Perhaps this is the reason, I don't know.

When viewing the esx server from the following URL:

https://ip-esxserver/mob/?moid=ha-host&doPath=runtime.healthSystemRuntime.systemHealthInfo.numericSensorInfo

and for example look into the details of the power supply 1, I see a current reading of 9500. Should this be visible from within the Sphere client instead of a Unknow status?

hello,

please be sure you install HP tools for you server and esx version and of course keep ESX updated.

at the end - consider upgrade ESX to newer version - 4.1 or 5, but if you need service console, go maximaly to ESX4.1 which is latest with this feature.
