Proliant DL380 G6 - Windows 2008 R2 Don´t Shutdown
Hello,
I have 5 servers HP Proliant DL380 G6 installed with Windows 2008 R2 DataCenter Edition and in all them I have the same problem. After to press the shutdown button in Windows OS, the system goes to the screen of shutdown and remains there indefinitely.
Anyone here had this problem?
Thanks a lot.

Re: Proliant DL380 G6 - Windows 2008 R2 Don´t Shutdown
Clear the event logs. Do a shut down see if any errors pop up. Do you have all the HP latest firmware, HP drivers and Windows upgrades installed? How long have you waited for it to shut down? What is running on the server? Do you have a lot of open files and applications running that could be slowing down the shutdown procedure. What runs on this server? SQL? Exchange? Are all your applications on latest version that supports 2008 R2?

Re: Proliant DL380 G6 - Windows 2008 R2 Don´t Shutdown
Hi,
There was a similar issue with a Blade server where Server never shuts down with Hyper-V Enabled on Windows 2008 R2.

Also a BIOS update would be a good idea.
Hope this helps.
Thanks
I work for HPE.
