Proliant DL380 G7 - RemoteFX
Hi,
We are looking to use 2x Proliant DL380 G7 Hosts to serv up VDI to clients using HyperV 2012 & RDS.
Currently we are running 20 guest VMs on each @ 4gb ram and 2 core, 10G network bandwidth to core switch.
Perfomance is quite good through HP WES8 thin clients - however I have found the bottleneck to be video rendering; because of this I want to enable RemoteFX on the Hosts but the option is greyed out due to the lack of a compatible video card.
Hope you can help with a couple of questions.
1. What sort of difference does RemoteFX actually make to VDI clients
2. Can you suggest a video card that is compatible with VDI 2012r2 and the Proliant DL380 G7 form factor/power requirements.
Any real life advice would be appreciated.
Cheers - Paul
