Proliant DL380 G7 w/ P812 Controller
Hello,
We just purchased a brand new Proliant DL380 G7 server with the P812 Controller. We have 8 300GB SAS drives, 4 in Slot1 Bay 1-4 and 4 in Slot2 Bay 1-4. All of the status and health indicator LED's are working correctly in the Slot 1 Bays but none of them are working in Slot 2. I have the array using all 8 drives in a RAID5 Array and I am having no issues with the Array or server whatsoever, but none of the LED's are working.
I have verified that the current firmware is installed and current drivers are installed.
Anyone seen this before?

That was what we thought, we tried replacing it with a working one, but no cigar, same problem.

Can you swap the controller, though the backplane has the leds, controller plays part in controlling the leds

Re: Proliant DL380 G7 w/ P812 Controller
If you've cross connected the SAS cables and the problem stays with drives 5-8 it sounds like something is wrong with the SAS backplane board
