Hello,
I am new here. I got a new position at work and I managed scientific intruments I plan to connect to a network. A HPE Proliant DL380 Gen9 bougth in 2016 is seated in a vented room. It was before operated without any internet connection.
To expose it to the external word, I need to update it for security reason. Our IT determined that a firmawre update is the first step. They managed an internet connection and tried the firmware update process without luck.
At boot : Intellgent Provisionning / Perform Maintenance / Firmware Update.
This message pop-up : Unable to contact update server, hp.com
What can I do ? A manual update ? With which up to date downloads ?
Thank you for any help.

Download and install the Intelligent Provisioning ISO, it is too old.
Or
Download the current SPP 2021.05 and boot from to update the firmware.

Please do perform the below steps.
1. Clear NVram: https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=mmr_kc-0128682
2. Update the Intelligent Provisioning
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/swd/detail?swItemId=MTX_f8b12eb6ec8b45cab4c628249a
3. Perform an SPP update by downloading thr latest Gen9 SPP.

Thank you so much for the guidelines.
I tried Torsten's solution before to see ManBha's answer. It took me a while to understand what to do and proceed. Installation of SPP 2021.05 was successful. After reboot, going to Intelligent Provisionning, I saw a stealthy error message containing "hw-PMU". To fast to read more. Anyway the GUI works as before.
I created my new logical volumes. Each time I faced an error :
"The operation failed. An unknown error occured during execution"
Strange but the volumes were created.
I installed Ubuntu server 18.04 without issue and I am able to access the previous volumes.
Do I have to worry ?
Do I need to proceed with ManBha's steps 1 and 2 after having installed SPP 2021.05 ?
