Proliant DL380 g3 2 cpu hangs and reboot with Domino 6

I have this system:
Proliant DL 380 G3-1 Gb ram-2 Cpu Xeon 2,8 Ghz
Smar Array 5i 64 Mb-4 disk 72 Gb 10000RPM
Bios v.10/31/03-Windows 2000 Server SP4 + latest patches and Lotus Domino 6.03
The system suddenly hangs and after 5-10 mins
reboots. The only strange event in System log starts with: The CPUs in this multiprocessor system are not all the same revision level.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Proliant DL380 g3 2 cpu hangs and reboot with Domino 6

Hello Fabrizio,
Please take out one CPU and see if the system becomes stable with one. Thereafter install the removed CPU in the slot one and see if the machine is stablized. If this is the case then obviously the stepping of both CPUs is not same and they need to be replaced. I am sure warranty should take care of replacing both the CPUs.

Hi

I imagine that you are recieving Event ID41 in your logs .
This is an informational message
Refer to Article iD Q227438 and Article iD Q234556 from Microsoft

Have you tried disabling Hyperthreading in the Bios ? Maybe Domino isn't compatible with this new functionality
