Re: Proliant DL380 / smart array controller

Smart Array Controller are
as the name says Array Controller.

with on exception they support DAT and AITD Drives.

For a Library you have to use a pure SCSI Controller. Which is a option to buy.

Greetings.

Re: Proliant DL380 / smart array controller

It depends if the SA controller in your DL380 was the embedded ROC (Integrated Array controller) or a seperate PCI card.
If the SA controller is a PCI card, you can use the embedded SCSI channel to attach your DLT Autoloader to it and don't have to buy an additional SCSI card.
A Proliant a day keeps the competition away!
