Proliant DL380G5 p400

Hello!
Please, anyone can resolve my problem:
I'm trying to install redhat enterprise es 4 on my hp dl380g5 with p400 smartarray, but redhat doesn't detect my raid & p400. Server without any diskette driver, only dvd, so i can't use Driver Diskette (few attempts put image on usbflash drive and tell to RH about this image = 0 result).
Please, help, how i can install smartarray driver to rh4??

Re: Proliant DL380G5 p400

What about installing a diskette drive (either temporarily)? Perhaps this is the fastest and easiest solution...
And using a CD for the drivers? Is it possible?
(sorry i don't know much about RH installation)

Hope can help.

Hello!

Perhaps you need to install an updated version of RHEL4, e.g RHEL4 update 4. It has newer kernel which can properly detect your RAID controller

Yeah, it was smart array fault. I changed p400 thru service center and now server works! :)
