Dear Community Members,
I have a Proliant DL380e gen8 server, which shuts down randomly during its operation.
The error message in the Integrated Management Log is:
System Power Fault Detected (XR: 10 00 MID: FF 3D BC 29 F9 F0 00 10 10 00 40 3F 20 00 00 00 96 00 F0 0F F0 43 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00)
Could you tell me where I can find a document, or software which can decode all the hex codes in this message and help to identify the faulty parts?
Could you help me to decode this message?
Thank you in advance!

Re: Proliant DL380e gen8 - Repeating System Power Fault
needs to be replace for fix this issue.
How old is that server ?
Sometimes PSU have voltage issues when they get cold or warm as they are worn out. Re-seating may help or reset the error but it is better to get HP to look at it as not wise to fool around with power components (especially if it can be fire, safety and health hazard).

Re: Proliant DL380e gen8 - Repeating System Power Fault
It's about 7 years old now. Yes, the easiest way to replace it, but I would like to figure out what happend. And I am using it for learning and hobby reasons.
I was also tried to replace the power supply units which were borrowed from a running system and the result was same. So I assume the problem is not in the power supplies.

Re: Proliant DL380e gen8 - Repeating System Power Fault
Hello SanjeevGoyal,
I have an 14 LFF configuration, 12 LFF at the front and 2 LFF at the back.
As I tried to disconnect the rear 2 LFF backplane, the problem has gone.
Anyway the 2LFF backplane at the back was not used, I left it disconnected,
and from this point the server is working without any problem.
Thank you for your hints!
