Proliant DL386G4 with SmartArray 6i external Tape Drive

Hello,
I'd like to connect an Ultrium 960 to the external connector of the SA 6i of our Proliant Server. Is this possible, as there is already an Raid 5 with 6 disks configured on the server?

Greetings,
Thomas

Doesn't matter how many disks you have connected - you cannot connect Ultrium 960 to SmartArray 6i controller.

"NOTE: The Ultrium 960, Ultrium 448 and Ultrium 232 tape drives must be connected to one of the supported U320 SCSI controllers listed in the Storage section of this document."
You need to buy 64-Bit/133-MHz Single or Dual Channel Ultra320 SCSI Adapter.

Thanks for the replies.
I've ordered the 'HP 64-bit/133-MHz Single Channel Ultra320 SCSI G2 (374654-B21)' SCSI host adapter.
