Proliant DL580 G2 Quad Xeon memory issues with Windows Enterprise 2003 Software

I recently got a HP Proliant DL580 G2 Quad Xeon 3.0, 32 GB RAM and 4 x 146 HDD. At start up the systems recognizes all 32 GB of RAM. I loaded Windows Enterprise Server 2003 (32 bit)on it and the software only recognizes 3.5 Gb or the 32GB RAM installed. Does anyone know what the problem would be and how to resolve the issue?

Hi.

For the windows to see the remaining memory you need to boot windows with /PAE

You need to edit boot.ini file and add /PAE as a boot parameter.

Right click My Computer choose properties.

On the advanced tab click settings for Startup and recovery.

Click edit where it says To edit the startup options manually, click Edit.

In the row under [operating systems]. Add /PAE
