Proliant DL580 G2

What do I need to power a single Proliant DL580 G2 from standard U.S. 120V 15A outlets?

I inherited a box, but it came with no power cords and has two 220V sideways three prong connectors in the back.

This box will be used for very small scale testing in my home and we don't have 220 available.

Re: Proliant DL580 G2

Hi Nicholas,

The power supplies are auto-sensing but this model has the larger IEC-320 C19 male recepticle.

So you need a C20 female to 120V cable to match. The official HP part number for the U.S. power cable is 237457-001 but you should be able to get one from any decent electrical store. You may also be able to buy the C20 adapter to fit to a spare cable but check the current rating if you plan to make your own cable up in case it overheats.

I have attached an image of what you are needing. Here is the link at HP partsurfer if you wish to purchase it.

I hope this helps.
