Proliant DL580 with Linux hangs

Hello,

we are experiencing this problem with a HP Proliant DL580 and Red Hat Linux 8.0: after a while the systems hangs and we cannot do any login or remote login.
We looked at log files but we did not find any error messages.
The DL has 4 Xeon CPU, 2 Gb RAM and two 18.2 Gb internal disk (hardware mirrored).
At the moment non application is running, only the OS.

Did you get this fixed?

We are running DL585 with RHEL3 using internal 5i disk controller and external shelf connected to a 6404 controller.

We get system hangs when we place high disk loads on the 5i controller.

Yes, we fixed it. The problem was in the driver of the Gigabit Ethernet Card. We downloaded the right one and installed it.
