Proliant DL585 G2 compatibility w/300GB SAS drives

The compatibility guide at http://www.hpproliantoptions.com/index.aspx does not indicate any 300GB drives for the 585 G2, but I do not know why this should be a problem. Is the 492620-B21 drive compatible with this machine?

There is no problem to use 492620-B21 on this machine. The compatibility guide does not show 300GB SAS, becuase at the time of release 585G2 such discs are not not yet produced.

As of this date, the 300GB drives are not compatible with ANY server. My customer has decided to go to IBM.

Was this decision made on no listing in the compatibility or did the drive not function properly when installed?
