Proliant DL585 Raid Expansion
I currently have all 4 drive slots filled with 72.8 GB drives in 1 raid-5 array on my SQL server. I need to expand my capacity, but would rather not have to reinstall Windows and SQL server all over again on a new array with larger drives. Can I replace each 72.8GB drive with a 300GB drive one at a time, let the raid software rebuild the drive and after all 4 drives are replaced access the extra capacity?
