Proliant Gen 10 - A box full of errors
We just got a brandnew DL380 Gen 10 and I was excited to see what's new. But after starting the "Intelligent" Provisioning, the excitement was replaced by laughter. It seems the software has been rushed to market without the usual testing.
Typing and translation errors (especially in German)
System hangs when trying to exit some menus (for example the SSA)
HTML variables are displayed instead of text (see pic)

Re: Proliant Gen 10 - A box full of errors
If we talk about re-installing IP, then consider to update to the newer version 3.10:

Hope this helps!

Re: Proliant Gen 10 - A box full of errors
At the moment we don't have a Gen10 server and I hope the next one we get does already have an updated version.
I was just a bit disappointed to see this from HP. For Dell or iBM (Lenovo) this would be standard :-)

Re: Proliant Gen 10 - A box full of errors
Update:
It is now November 2018 and I got a brandnew ML350 Gen10 with firmware "June 2018". It seems that the typo errors have been fixed but the rest is still crap. Sorry to say that...
RAID configuration is complicated and confusing. OS installation is not working (it hangs and I had to power-reset the server). And everything is dead slow.
Part of the delays may have been caused because the server was not connected to any network. But that's not a reason to crash and hang...
I'm still very disappointed by the Gen10 servers...

Re: Proliant Gen 10 - A box full of errors
Yes, instable as it can be unfortunately.
After battling a day with IP 3.x hangs I quit and went full 'F9 'System Utilities' System Configuration | BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU).
I even raised a case and HPE could tell me this was a known issue.

Listen, I saw these same issues 3+ years back when I started a large (25 machines) deployment of G9s. Eventually, the typos and SSA issues worked themselves out with subsequent upgrades to the PSP or SPP. If I recall, it took 4 releases of the SSA before my disk\RAID building process was rock solid.
This is one of the reasons I hate working with brand new Hardware... as I ma having the same issue with a new G10... I can't seem to boot the G10 with the same thumb drives I used to boot and build my G9s...
