Proliant ML 110 G4 - System Board LED
The System Board LED indicator CR7 is RED indicating an error has occurred. Additionally, prior to updating the BIOS (to the same version again) we were recieving "Multi-Bit ECC Errors in Memory Bank" in the DMI Event log. HP is sending an new system board but I am curious as to what the the RED CR7 LED indicator represents and what could have possible caused it to occur?
Thanks,
Mike
Thanks,
Mike

Re: Proliant ML 110 G4 - System Board LED
CR7 is an error LED to indicate a system error. The system error could be any component on the system board which has encountered an error.
Typically, on other ProLiant Servers, 300 & 500 series, you would have LEDs next to various components (memory, CPU, VRM, fans, etc), that glow amber / red in case of the device failure. Looking at this helps determine the failed component. However on the ML110 G4 server, there are no separate LEDs for individual components & this is the only LED which can indicate some error with devices like CPU, memory etc.
Hope this helps.
