Proliant ML 330 G3 and UPS APC (Model Smart-Ups 420)

Our Proliant ML 330e G3 is attached with a UPS APC (Model Smart-Ups 420). We have download the software but when the APC finish the shutdown sequence the server stay on the screen "Now is possible to turn off the PC" and the day after the ups not restart the Server.

What should we do ?

P.s.: I've read this page in the APC site

But I don't find in the bios the indication for change the soft switch settings

That article refers to ATX motherboards and powersupplies. The Proliant ML 330e G3 power supply is different. What O/S is installed on this server?

As i know this is a bug in all proliants ROM firmware. Also as i know this problem have been escalated and now expected new firmware.

I too have this same issue. Has this been addressed as yet in firmware upgrade for proliants

There have been no updates to the bios to resolve communication errors like this. Here is a link to the bios download:

You best effort to resolve this is with the APC PowerShute Software. get the latest versiosn of the software for your model and O/S.

Have you contacted APC Tech Support to see if there is a configuration change that you need?
