Proliant ML 370 G3
The CPU is ok (tested separately).
Is it possible to start the server with the secondary CPU and PPM. Is there any switch configuration to do for that ?

Re: Proliant ML 370 G3
once you have CPU in the socket populated and PPM system might go on and you can work fine , really depend on th type of Problem.
however don't you want to resolve problem and replace parts if they suspected failed
had you done with Swap CPU around CPU1 to CPU2 ? System ROM Update ?
can you see POST ?

Re: Proliant ML 370 G3
That's why i'm asking if i can start with CPU2 only (without CPU1).
When CPU and PPM are installed in the primary position, i have the CPU fault led in orange. The PPM1 led is off.
When i place the CPU and PPM in the secondary position, the secondary CPU fault led and PPM led are orange, the primary PPM led is also orange.
There are two swith sets on the mother board SW1 is for rack mode, ...., the SW2 is marked RESERVED.

Re: Proliant ML 370 G3
Make sure you use supported CPU?
Does server still have warranty?
Can you replace Parts?
