Proliant ML110 G2 and Non-Hot Swap SATA

Why is the Maximum Internal Storage for SATA (Non-Hot Swap) quoted as 4 x 80Gb. Why can't you install SATA drives bigger than 80Gb?

Re: Proliant ML110 G2 and Non-Hot Swap SATA

The specification is based on the current largest Non Hot Plug SATA drive, which is 80 GB.

So there is no reason why I couldn't install Maxtor DiamondMax 200Gb SATA drives I have purchased from elsewhere.

Use options for Hot Plug SATA Models 160Gb and 250GB.
