Proliant ML110 G4 PS2 Mouse and Keyboard Issue

I have a client that accidentaly unplugged the PS2 mouse and keyboard from their Proliant ML110 G4 with the power on. They plugged them back in and a couple of days later I discovered they're not responding and this is when the client told me what they've done. I did the usual power-cycling of the server to no avail. The mouse and keyboard and simply no longer recognized at post. I contacted HP support and want to replace the motherboard. I'm trying at all cost to avoid this knowing I'll likely get a blue screen of death at boot up. Any suggetions? There has to be a way to reset the PS2 ports.

I can't realy imagine this to be a problem.
did you power cycle with the button or did you really disconnect the power-cord?
second : check kbd and mouse are not swapped.

Re: Proliant ML110 G4 PS2 Mouse and Keyboard Issue

The HP technician came today and we both noticed some serious corruptioon in the BIOS under IPMI. We proceed to clearning the CMOS using the instrutions in the manual but the corruption remained. With that we proceeded to replace the motherboard, keeping our fingers crossed there would be no blue screen at boot up. We got lucky and Windows SBS booted right up and I have a working mouse and keyboard again.

Thanks for everyone's input.
