The above diagram needs to be in a fixed wdith font to make any sense, paste it into notepad! :-)

Re: Proliant ML110 G5 - F8 causes machine to hang (RAID utility)

hi

mmm What I know about two independent RAID would be 2 equal RAIDs (2 RAID) or 1 RAID 1 and RAID 5 in the same controller

I hope this is what you meant ???

Re: Proliant ML110 G5 - F8 causes machine to hang (RAID utility)

Meant two 'RAID 1' in the server, each RAID 1 having two disks.

1. RAID 1 for system disk (2 x 160GB disks)

2. RAID 1 for data disk (2 x 500GB disks)

Re: Proliant ML110 G5 - F8 causes machine to hang (RAID utility)

Many thanks.

This seems to be the definitive answer!

"A maximum of twho physical drives are supported per RAID set. The controller is capable of supporting multiple RAID sets."

This would imply two RAID sets each of two disks, ie. 4 disks maximum. Exactly what I want :-)

Thanks
