Proliant ML110 G6 CPU Upgrade
Hi everyone,
I got a pentium model of the ml110g6 by mistake and just wanted to know if I could get a Xeon 1156 chip and stick it in.
Would it run?
I was thinking of the Xeon 3440 as it has Hyper threading and also has the power to run SBS 2011 Standard as the Pentium does not.
I am currently using 16GB of kingston ECC RAM
I kinda need an answer by Monday morning if that would be possible.
Thanks

Re: Proliant ML110 G6 CPU Upgrade
It lists the Xeon 3440 so I guess I can just buy an OEM chip stick it in and use the HP heatsink and fan.
