Proliant ML150 - 1 long, 6 short beeps
I've looked up on the Net what this error means and I've found the following: "unable to load interrupt vectors: The BIOS was unable to load the interrupt vectors into memory."
1) What does this mean?
2) I have 4 hot-swap drives... does the order in which these are inserted matter?
3) If yes to question 2, then could this account for the error beeps?
Cheers
Todd

Re: Proliant ML150 - 1 long, 6 short beeps
hi
you got this from web ? ""unable to load interrupt vectors: The BIOS was unable to load the interrupt vectors into memory.""
well that does not mean it applies for a proliant server
what you can try is with your server since I think you got no video
try minimum configuration no PCI cards, 1 Proc at a time, 2 DIMMS at a time too
- remove memories to check if you got the same issue
regards

Re: Proliant ML150 - 1 long, 6 short beeps
Hi Karlo, thanks for your reply...
Yes, I got that message from the web because it was the only info on that sequence of beeps that I could find.
Does the order in which the hot-swap drives are reincerted matter... because I don't know the correct order the drives should go in.
Cheers
Todd

no HDDs have nothing to do with that
It can be DIMMS, CPUs or System Board not HDDs
